Short answer
Google has begun opening the information monitoring feature in AI Mode to all users worldwide. The feature keeps checking the web for updates on topics people ask it to watch and reports back. Because every example given is local or shopping-related, businesses and retailers should watch closely whether the updates link to their sites.

Google has started rolling out information monitoring in AI Mode to all users worldwide. According to Search Engine Journal, the feature keeps checking for updates on whatever people ask it to watch, and Search will also suggest monitoring tasks during searches.
How does information monitoring work?
Users tell AI Mode what to watch, the system saves it as a task and reports back as updates arrive. Robby Stein, Google's VP of Product for Search, announced the rollout on X: Search will continuously check sites, forums, social posts, real-time data sources and a Shopping Graph of more than 60 billion products. Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers were already using the feature.
Every example Stein gave was local or shopping-related: new restaurants and pop-ups nearby, local holiday activities for children, and back-in-stock and price-drop alerts.
What remains unclear for publishers and businesses?
Whether sites will receive traffic is unclear. The June announcement said agent updates would include links to the web; Monday's post does not mention links. Neither post explains how Search picks the sources behind an update. Local businesses and retailers therefore cannot yet tell how often monitoring updates will show their sites or send visits.
What should businesses in Turkey do?
Google did not list the languages and markets for the rollout, so the source does not say when it will be active for Turkish-language users. There is no need to wait to prepare, though. If you run a restaurant, shop or events business, keep your location, opening hours and event details current; if you sell online, make sure your price and stock data are consistent with Google's product data.
As the source also suggests, once the feature reaches your account, set up a monitoring task for your own type of business and see whether the update carries links. Tracking what you find alongside your search traffic reports will make decisions easier.
